About the competition

The competition is going to be run very similar to the X Factor with three/four judges who will be local celebrities/performers and a representative from the charity.  We can't divulge who will be on the judging panel, but you may recognise them from local radio and local theatre performances!

Once you've chosen a song, you can either bring along your CD or check out www.pompeyprokaraoke.com/downloads.htm and see if we already have your song.
You will sing with a wireless microphone to the music (you can sing acapella if you like) - but there will not be any words to follow.  Give it everything, you only get one shot at this!  The judges want to see you perform, not just sing.  So if you can dance, show us your moves!

If you've got something different, we want to see it!

After your performance in front of the audience, the judges will give you feedback on how you did.  Be prepared, they will give you honest feedback!  We can't promise not to have our own version of Simon Cowell ready to pounce!
